Kotaro Shinohara

Shinohara is the fastest-ever Japanese-born collegiate runner over 5000 m and the half marathon distance. At Komazawa University he won stages at all three of Japan’s Big Three University Ekidens, and in his national debut with the Fujitsu corporate ekiden team he set a new CR of 42:53 for 15.3 km at the 2026 New Year Ekiden.
